Birth is not intrinsically painful. However, birth can become painful when other factors are introduced, such as stress, fear, distraction, or not being able to follow your natural birthing instincts. It could be argued that "painless childbirth" is about semantics, but it's really about what you choose to believe - making a conscious choice to experience your labor and birth “comfortably”.
Whatever sensations you ultimately experience (some of which you may have considered painful under other circumstances), you’ll know they are normal and won’t be afraid of them, allowing you to remain calm and confident, rather than feeling like you’re losing control.
